California - Xavier C. Avila, 54, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2023. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Hawkins Funeral Home in Donna.

Xavier Carlos Avila, 54, passed away in Buena Park, California on May 14, 2023.

He was a graduate of Donna High School and a member of the Donna National Guard. After graduating, he joined the United States Army. He moved to Anaheim, California in the late 80’s and continued his college education at Fullerton College. He completed an associate degree in communications and editing at Cypress College. He married and had a lovely daughter, Kayla Avila Westbrook (Taylor).

Xavier is survived by his brothers, Albert (Victoria) and Steven (Jaime). He is also survived by his mother, Anita Ovalle, plus his nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carlos Xavier Avila.
