Alamo - Ricky Joe Garcia, 54, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at his residence in Alamo, TX. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Hawkins Funeral Home in Donna.
Alamo – Ricky Joe Garcia passed away at the age of 54 on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.
Ricky was born in Winfield, Illinois, to Guillermo and Maria Garcia on December 18, 1970. He is preceded in death by both parents and is survived by his devoted wife, Monica (Guerrero) Garcia. He is also survived by his children: Vanessa Denise Garcia, Victoria Monique Garcia-Neill, and Ricky Joe Garcia Jr., as well as his grandson, Emilio Jahaziel Hernandez. His siblings include Guillermo Garcia Jr., Isquel Ceasar Garcia, Marisela Garcia Flores, Ismael Garcia, and +Roel Garcia.
Ricky served as a Deputy at the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office for 19 years, during which time he dedicated himself to community service through the principles of protection and service. In his leisure time, he was actively involved with the ACTS at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Donna. At the time of his passing, he was working with L4 Security at Mercedes Early College High School.
He will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
