Rene Rosas

Donna - Rene Rosas, 57, passed away on Monday, July 25, 2023 at HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast in Houston, TX.  Funeral arrangements are under the care of Hawkins Funeral Home in Donna.

Mr. Rosas career started as a volunteer Firefighter in San Juan Fire Department From 1988 - 1995

And later served as the Fire Chief for Donna Fire Department from 2019 till 2021.

He loved to serve the community so much the he decided to attend the Police academy in 1994. Where he then started his career as a police officer in Alton Police Department from 1995 - 1997. He then became a Police Office in 1997 for Donna Police Department where he then retired on July 27, 2023.

Children: Brittanie (Sam) Mata , Rene Rosas Jr. , Amber (Joe) Hernandez, Daniel (Alisa) Garza, Benjamin Rosas , Michael Anthony (Mayte) Rosas, Anna Isabela Rosas, Celinda Eileen (Corey) Barb, Raymond (Stephanie) Miramontes, Delilah DeAnn Barajas, and Elias “EJ” Barajas

Parents: Antonio and Chita Rosas

Birth Mom: Hilda Guerra

Siblings: Ray (Diana) Rosas, Antonio (Selina) Rosas, Maribel (Concepcion) Gomez, Melba González and Melinda Alvarado
