                  Paula De Leon Cruz devoted wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully at her home on early Monday morning, January 11, 2021. She was born on April 2, 1935. She married Jose Cruz on May 22, 1955 and they were married for 65 years. He followed her to church one day and blossomed into a lifetime filled with 7 children 12 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. She possessed an unmatched strength in all she did and encountered. Our beloved mother and grandmother instilled the importance of family unity, faith, hard work and above all laughter with her quick wit and truth. She attended every event important to her family, every ball game, every graduation, every birthday party and everything else that came in between. She loved being surrounded by family in a house filled with conversation and laughter. She Continues to be the heart of our family. Her presence was felt and will forever be cherished. Her smile and wave will continue to reside in out hearts and her life lessons will live on in each of us. She was preceded in death by her daughter Maria Elena Cruz and son Roberto Cruz. She is survived by her husband Jose Cruz, her children  Beatriz (Eugenio) Calderon, Jose (Maria Guadalupe) Cruz Jr., Martha Patterson, Melinda (Pedro) Castillo, Sylvia Ann ( Emilio) Cisneros, her sister Tomasa Contreras, brother Genoveva De Leon, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, She will be forever  missed.
