Mary Cruz

Donna - In the early morning hours of Tuesday, November 28, 2023, the angels greeted

Mary Cruz and led her into paradise. There she joins her beloved husband Joe

“Pepe” Cruz, her parents Antonio and Maria de Jesus Rodriguez, her siblings:

Refugio Infante, Nemecio Rodriguez, Jose N. Rodriguez, Elias Rodriguez, Florencio

Rodriguez, Elodia Rodriguez, Consuelo Rodriguez, Maria Rodriguez, Lucy Clark and

Delia Villa.

Mary was born on September 25, 1931 and lived all her life in Donna, Texas.

There, she served her community working at Donna Drug Store, Citizen’s State

Bank and St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. When not busy working, Mary truly

enjoyed shopping and was always dressed in the latest fashion! She also enjoyed

accompanying Pepe at various sporting events from Donna Redskin football

games to Houston Astros baseball games. Whether at work, out with Pepe or

doing volunteer work in the community, she was always impeccably dressed.

Mary was a lifelong member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and was proud to be

a charter member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court Rev. D. J.

Tuohy #2215.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving and devoted sister, Carmen Rodriguez,

her brother Ramon Rodriguez, her special niece Diana Garcia and numerous other

nieces and nephews.
