Maria D. Montelongo

Donna - Maria D. Montelongo, 68, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at Cornerstone Regional Hospital in Edinburg, TX.  Funeral arrangements are under the care of Hawkins Funeral Home in Donna.

Maria D. Montelongo was born to the late Tiburcio and Basilisa Macias in Rio Bravo México on September 20th 1955.  She was an exemplary daughter and student.  She graduated from Donna High school in 1976.  

María married the love of her life, Guadalupe Montelongo on November  15th of 1980.  She was a loving housewife who enjoyed cooking, reading and get aways to visit family members. 

She is preceded in death by her nephews Marcos & Michael Macias, Niece Frances Macias and loving sister Ester Yescas.  She is survived by siblings Nickolas, Reina, Armando, Ramiro, Tiburcio Jr., and Oscar Macías. 

María was a gentle soul always there for any family member in need.  She will be dearly missed by her loved ones.
