Lydia Z Guerrero

Donna - Lydia Z. Guerrero, 72, passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at her home in Donna, TX.  Funeral arrangements are under the care of Hawkins Funeral Home in Donna.

Lydia Z. Guerrero, beloved mother , grandmother, wife, sister, aunt and friend passed away April 4, 2023, at home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born January 1, 1951, to Felix Zamora and Victoria Espinoza Arias.

A lifelong resident of Donna, Lydia had worked at Medico Drug Store for a number of years until her illness.  Lydia received a Gift of Life which allowed us to have her for an additional ten years.  We are forever grateful to the family of the young man who gave her this opportunity.

On. January 29, 1972 she was united in marriage to Pedro B. Guerrero at St. Margaret Catholic Church in Pharr, Tx.  They had two children Alma Patricia"Patty" and Sergio Guerrero.  Sadly, Pedro passed away in October, 2017 after 45 years of marriage.  She took great pride as a police officer's wife.

Lydia is survived by her children:daughter- Alma Patricia"Patty" Guerrero-her children Nydia Concepcion Vela and Natalia Alejandra Estrada.  Son:Sergio (Melissa) Guerrero and their children- Tevon Rodriguez, Ethan Rodriguez, Mikaela Kristina Guerrero, Karina Cristal Guerrero and Amiliano Moises Guerrero.  She is also survived by her brother: Fernando Zamora, Sister: Maria Elena (Hector) Trevino, Yolanda (Rogelio) Pena, and Norma (Joe) Caudy.  She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, friends and other loved ones.

She is predeceased by her parents: Felix Zamora and Victoria Espionza Arias; her brother: Juan Francisco Zamora, sisters: Abigail Arias and Estella Arias Sturgis, a very special nephew Michael Lopez.

Lydia will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren and siblings and her extended family.
