Jesus Cedillo Obituary

Donna - Jesus Cedillo, 61, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2026, at his residence in Donna, TX.  Funeral arrangements are under the care of Hawkins Funeral Home in Donna.

Jesus “Jesse” Cedillo, 61, of Donna, Texas, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 1, 2026.

Jesse was a man who spent most of his life in the Donna community he loved, building connections and lending a helping hand wherever it was needed. He was known for his willingness to show up for others—if he couldn’t do something himself, he would make sure to find someone who could. That quiet determination and generosity left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

For many years, Jesse worked as a courier, a job that required long hours and heavy lifting, but one he carried with dedication and pride. No matter how demanding the days were, he showed up and worked hard to provide for his family and create meaningful memories with them.

Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Maria Cristina Cedillo, and his brother, Gilberto, who passed away in infancy.

He is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Jessica (Danny Hilton) and Audrey; his stepdaughter, Christina (Casey Royer); his brothers, Jose (Carmen), Gilbert (Cira), and Pete (Anna); and his beloved grandchildren, Jack, Eli, Isabel, Chloe, and Christopher, who brought him immense joy. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends throughout the Rio Grande Valley.

Jesse was a devoted family man who found his greatest happiness in the simple moments—spending time with his grandchildren, cheering on his favorite teams, and being surrounded by the people he loved. He was a proud Dallas Cowboys fan and also cheered for the San Antonio Spurs and his hometown Donna Redskins. Whether watching a game on TV or attending in person, he enjoyed every moment. He also loved being outdoors, especially barbecuing and playing fetch with his dog, Casper.

Jesse will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his generous spirit, and the way he cared deeply for those around him. His presence will be greatly missed, but the memories he created will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
