Weslaco- Irma S. Rios, 88, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024 . Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Hawkins Funeral Home in Weslaco.

        Irma S. Rios, 88, peacefully passed away to be with the Lord on March 3, 2024.

Mrs. Rios was born on March 28, 1935 in Weslaco, TX to Flavio Sarmiento and Maria Garza.

       She is preceded in death by both her parents, her beloved husband Casimiro Rios and

 daughter Juanita Ayala.

      Irma S. Rios is survived by her son Rodolfo (Sandra) Hernandez and her 3 daughters, Francesca (Jerry) Granados,

Blanca (Eddie) Germain and Irma Ida Martinez. Also surviving are her 13 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

      Honorary pallbearers are Edward Germain, Jerry Granados, Giovanni Martinez, Donovan Martinez, Adrian Cuellar, Hector Cuellar Jr.

Visitation for Irma S. Rios will be on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 6:00 p.m.

Funeral mass is scheduled for Thursday, March 7, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at San Martin De Porres Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
