After graduation Hilda worked at Puryear's, (shoe and clothing store), on Main Street in Donna,  she was the first Mexican American to be hired by that store, growing up she also worked at G.B Woods clothing store and Karam's. Family unity was always very important to her, family meant everything to her. She has taught us all that no matter what, family comes first and is most important over anything else. We all love her and will miss her dearly.
