Obituary

Our beloved Father, Hilario T. Perez, 88, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 . He was born on January 14, 1934 in Lolita, Texas to Adolfo and Maria T. Perez+.  Mr. Perez was preceded in death by his wife, Maria M. Perez of Weslaco, Texas.

Hilario was a veteran of the United States Miliary having served as a heavy weapons infantryman in the US Army, H/H Co 41st Engr Bn APO 36.  He was honorably discharged in 1958.

Also surviving Mr. Perez are his children, Jose Luis Pérez, Juanita Torres (Daniel Torres), Juan Carlos Perez (Patricia Perez), Rogelio Perez (Edna Perez), and Ricardo Perez (Norma A. Perez).  Also surviving Mr. Perez are his siblings , Monica Mata (Adolfo+) of Weslaco, Texas, Jovita Perez of Ozona, Texas, Antonia Perez Hernandez of Houston, Jesus Perez of Weslaco, Texas, and Apolinar Perez of Houston. Texas.

Mr. Perez was preceded in death by his brothers Cornelio Perez (Delia) of Weslaco, Texas, Juan Perez (Ofelia+) of Weslaco, Texas. 

Hilario T. Perez had 17 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

He was loved immensely by the members of his family for his kindness, generosity, compassion, and his unrelenting faith in our Lord.  His passing leaves a void in our hearts.  Hilario’s divine plan for this world is complete, and he now resides in his eternal home with our Creator.

“I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day –and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.” 2 Timothy 4:7-8

Funeral services are under the direction of Hawkins Funeral Home in Weslaco, Texas.  Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery in Weslaco, Texas.
