Weslaco - Gloria Saiz Noriega, 93, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, June 1, 2025.
Gloria was born on March 26, 1932 in Weslaco, TX. She was a beloved wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and a friend to many who will miss her deeply.
She devoted her life to raising her family. Her greatest joy came from caring for her family and filling their lives with love, laughter and unforgettable memories. She had a sense of humor which was something she passed on to her children and grandchildren. She loved to laugh and many of us were privileged to hear her laughter in her last few days. She loved Diet Coke and many could say it was an addiction as she was still asking for it until the very end.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Saiz and Consuelo Montemayor Rangel; her beloved husband, Andres G. Noriega Sr.; brothers Guadalupe Saiz, Filomeno Saiz, and Benjamin Saiz Jr., and granddaughter, Cassandra Noriega.
Left to cherish her memory are her siblings Tomas Rangel Jr. and Genoveva Tanguma; her children, Consuelo (Ramiro) Valdez, Andres (Paula) Noriega, Robert (Yolanda) Noriega, Ercilia Dwyer, Belia N. Saenz, Rolando (Olga) Noriega, Gloria (Eliberto) Hernandez, Jorge (Eva) Noriega. Her grandchildren, Ramiro Valdez Jr, Melinda Garcia, Cindy Perez, Michelle Noriega, Angie Noriega, Andres Noriega III, Daniel Noriega, Gloria Gonzalez, Jessica Cabrera, Celina Noriega, Jessica Noriega, Steven Noriega, Rosalie Dwyer, Matthew Saenz, Michael Saenz, Gloria Rodriguez, Elias Hernandez, Mario Hernandez, Sandra Guerrero, Jorge Noriega Jr., Nicole Vela, Jacob Noriega, Julio Noriega, Joaquin Noriega and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her fur baby of 17 years, Baby Noriega.
On behalf of the Noriega family, we want to thank her providers, Letty, Luz, and Christian, for the unconditional care and support during this time.
