Ester Guerrero

Donna - Ester Guerrero, 78, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at her home in Donna, TX.  Funeral arrangements are under the care of Hawkins Funeral Home in Donna.

Ester Guerrero, 78, of Donna, Texas entered into eternal rest on May 18, 2022 at her residence with her husband, Santos, at her side.
Ester was born on September 23, 1943 in San Juan, Texas to Higinio Estevis and Florinda Almazan Estevis. She was the youngest of three siblings, Camilo Estevis of Rio Grande City, Texas and Consuelo Estevis Casiano.
In 1961, Ester married her high school sweetheart, Santos Guerrero. Together they raised their family in Donna, Texas. She is survived by her husband, Santos Guerrero, and their six children, Jose S. Guerrero Jr. (Alicia), Cynthia Zamora (Jose I.), Rolando (Jacqueline), Martin (Elizabeth), Camilo (Yolanda), and Julian. Along with her 18 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. And numerous nieces and nephews.
Ester dedicated her life to her church, her husband, and her family. Although these were her greatest accomplishments, Ester also worked at City National Bank for 19 years in the bookkeeping department and as a teller. After which she worked at St. Joseph Catholic Church for another 17 years.
Ester was a selfless Godly woman. She raised her children to be strong in their religious beliefs and taught them the power of prayer. She was a loving member of her community and a friend to many. Her smile was contagious and could brighten up any room. She loved to share memories of her childhood and her marriage to Santos, whom she loved very much. They were devoted Redskin fans and Ester was always there to cheer them on. She will be greatly missed and her memory will forever live on through her family.
