Esperanza Estrada

Esperanza Luna Estrada, 88 of Donna, passed away Thursday evening February 18, 2021, at Doctors Hospital Renaissance. 

She was born October 21, 1932 in San Marcos Guanajuato, a daughter to the late Mr. Esteban and Maria Luna. 

Esperanza is preceded in death by her husband Francisco (Teodoro) Estrada of 61 years, as well as her sisters Concepcion Peralta, Gloria G. Luna, Maria Consuelo Gonzales and brother Piedad Garcia Luna. 

She was a devoted Catholic, and loving mother to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She enjoyed working with her plants and teaching her grandchildren family traditions. She especially loved spending time playing with her great grandchildren. 

Esperanza is survived by her daughters Anna Delia Avila ( Ruben) Guadalupe Salazar (Juan) and son Miguel Angel  Estrada (Linda),  six grandchildren Priscilla Belmares (Roy) Miguel Angel Estrada Jr. (Sasha), Joey Michael Avila (Lilly), Juanita Lee Alexander (John), Joanna Marie Estrada and Luis Esteban Estrada and eleven  great grandchildren Angel, Adam, Anna Sophia,Jose, Miguel III, Annalise, Nicole, Danna, Jason, Jorge, and Francisco. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her. 

Funeral service will be held at 10 am Thursday February 25, 2021 at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna with Father Echa of St. Joseph's Church will be  officiating the graveside service and burial. 

Visitation is from 1pm to 8pm Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Hawkins Funeral Home in Donna. 

Esperanza’s family will serve as pallbearers.
