San Antonio - Celia G. Aleman, 93, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2025, at her residence. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Hawkins Funeral Home in Weslaco.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved matriarch, Celia G. Alemán, who was called home to be embraced by our Lord and Savior on September 22, 2025. Surrounded by her immediate family, Celia departed this world after 93 beautiful years filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories.
Known affectionately as “Yaya,” Celia was the heart and soul of our family. Her warmth and spirit will be profoundly missed by all whose lives she touched. Yaya had a special way of bringing everyone together; she loved sharing precious moments with her family, relishing her morning coffee while watching the sun rise, and nurturing her beloved garden. Her heart sang with joy during spirited games of bingo, engaging phone conversations, and her unwavering passion for singing and dancing.
In her journey, she has been reunited in heaven with her cherished husband, Juan O. Alemán, and her beloved sons, Benito and Carlos Alemán.
Celia leaves behind a loving family: her devoted children, Raul Alemán (Martha), Juan Jose Alemán (Martha), Julio Alemán (Lupita), Alma Rivera, Maria Alemán (Victor), and Mayra A. Gonzalez, along with Rocky Ureste. Her legacy continues through numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins, each of whom will carry her memory and spirit close to their hearts.
The love, strength, and faith that Celia imparted to us will forever be a guiding light in our lives. Her extraordinary spirit will continue to nurture and inspire us as we honor her memory. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
