Weslaco/San Antonio - Alicia O. Uresti passed away at the age of 80 on Monday, October 28, 2024.  Funeral arrangements are under the care of Hawkins Funeral Home in Weslaco.

Alicia Ovalle Uresti, 80, of Donna, Texas, passed away on October 28, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. Alicia was born on August 17, 1944, in Donna, Texas, to Jose Angel and Rita Espinoza Ovalle. She married Juan P. Uresti on November 14, 1970, and lived in Donna, Texas, for many years.

Alicia is survived by her loving husband, Juan P. Uresti, her daughters: Mary Elizabeth, Maria Dolores, Christina (Colin), Yvette (Luis); and only son: Johnny; 6 grandchildren: Kassandra, Adan IV, Chaya, Kaylea, Kaleb, Evie and 3 great-grandchildren: Khia, Kera and Karlie. Alicia is also survived by her sister, Isabel (Juan) Alvarez, numerous nieces and nephews.

Alicia was a devoted Catholic and member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and Cristo Rey in Donna, Texas, for many years.

Alicia loved visiting with her family, gardening, and was a great cook.  She will be greatly missed by her family, who loved her so much.
