Abel Vera Puga

Green Bay - Abel Vera Puga, 83, passed away on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Bellin Memorial Hospital in Green Bay, WI.  Funeral arrangements are under the care of Hawkins Funeral Home in Donna.

He was born in Guanajuato Mexico on December 18, 1937 to the late Martin Vera and Pueblito Puga. He was united in marriage to Juana Razo. 
Abel was a man of many hobbies and strengths. He could do and fix just about anything he set his mind to and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed talking politics with anyone wanting to lend a listening ear. His humbleness and humanitarian united him with many great people. His Best memories are the 25 years he served in the Mexican federal judicial police as chief in the state of Guanajuato. He was well respected throughout the state. Above all however, Abel will be remembered for his joking attitude and by not only how much he loved his family, but also how much they loved him.
Left to cherish Abel’s memory are his wife, Juana; children, Hugo Vera, Carolina Vera, Esmeralda (Luis) Vera, Juan (Ana) Vera, Martin Vera, Rosa Vera, Josefina Vera and Reyna Vera; sister, Anita Vera; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and other relatives and friends. 
The family would like to send a sincere thank you to Paul and the rest of the staff of the ICU at Bellin for all the care and support they gave to Abel.

Abel Vera Puga, nació en Guanajuato México el 18 de diciembre de 1937 hijo del fallecido Martín Vera y Pueblito Puga. Estuvo unido en matrimonio con Juana Razo.
Abel era un hombre con muchas aficiones y virtudes. Podía hacer y arreglar casi cualquier cosa que se proponía y siempre estaba dispuesto a echar una mano. Disfrutaba hablando de política con cualquiera que quisiera escucharlo. Su humildad y humanidad lo unieron a muchas personas estupendas. Sus mejores recuerdos son los 25 años que sirvió en la policía judicial federal mexicana como jefe en el estado de Guanajuato. Fue muy respetado en todo el estado. Sin embargo, sobre todo, Abel será recordado por su actitud bromista y no solo por lo mucho que amaba a su familia, sino también por lo mucho que ellos lo amaban a él.
Quedan para apreciar la memoria de Abel su esposa, Juana; hijos, Hugo Vera, Carolina Vera, Esmeralda (Luis) Vera, Juan (Ana) Vera, Martín Vera, Rosa Vera, Josefina Vera y Reyna Vera; hermana, Anita Vera; muchos nietos, bisnietos y otros familiares y amigos.
La familia desea enviar un sincero agradecimiento a Paul y al resto del personal de la UCI de Bellin por toda la atención y el apoyo que le brindaron a Abel.
