Donna - Ninfa Munoz, 78, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at her home in Donna, TX.  Funeral arrangements are under the care of Hawkins Funeral Home in Donna.

Ninfa Munoz, aged 78, passed away peacefully on March 26,2024 at her residence surrounded by her family members. She was born on July 28,1945 in Alamo, Texas to Antonio and Maria Anna Munoz. She was a proud wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years Eleazar Munoz, four children Belinda (Aniceto Jr.) Munoz Santana, Eleazar Munoz Jr., Lillia (Robert) Munoz Liguez, and Juan Manuel (Blanca) Munoz, grandchildren Ashley Santana, Daniel (Lesly) Santana, Brenda Santana, Cristian Munoz, David Santana, Hector Munoz, Robert Liguez Jr., Emma Liguez, Christopher Liguez, and great grandchild Giancarlo Santana, her siblings Arturo Munoz (Olga Ramirez), Antonio (Janie) Munoz Jr., Noelia (Rosendo) Garcia, Lydia (Armando) Rodriguez, Leonel (Angie) Munoz, Celia (Robert) Sanchez, and sister-in-law Carmen Munoz, and her numerous nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her parents Antonio Sr. and Maria Anna Munoz and her brother Lorenzo Munoz.

Throughout her lifetime she enjoyed listening to music, reading novels and traveling to and from her yearly destinations as a former migrant.

Ninfa lived her life serving God, family and friends. As a dedicated spiritual person, she reflected God’s will and brought his word to life. Her strength taught those around her how to persevere through the most difficult times. She was a proud cancer survivor. On a daily basis, regardless of the situation, Ninfa embraced everyone with compassion and unconditional love. With a humble heart, she loved to bake and cook for anyone who entered her home. She was always ready to give without expecting anything in return. She was truly a great person who’s loved ones aspire to be. She taught us how to sacrifice, provide, support, give and love all the people she knew. She will be missed dearly.
